
Scholarship Information
We appreciate your financial support of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Your gifts can go to funding student travel to meetings, undergraduate and graduate scholarships, lecture series, laboratory enhancements, and other initiatives. To learn more about establishing gifts in kind and bequests, please contact the University of Florida Foundation office directly. There are currently three scholarship programs in our department:

Edna Povey Undergraduate Scholarship - A scholarship given to an undergraduate student with exemplary academics and a profile characterized by dedication to scholarship and care for the treatment of patients with communicative disorders.

Thomas B. Abbott Scholarship - Two scholarships rewarding graduate students for exemplary academics, one in each of the primary disciplines of audiology and speech language pathology.

Karen Klenberg Scholarship - This is for non-traditional graduate students, particularly those students pursuing careers later in life. The awardee must also demonstrate excellent clinical and interpersonal skills characterized by warmth and integrity.
If you would like to contribute to the department, no donation is considered too small.
